Let's Make Schools Across the State of NJ Styrofoam-Free!

When New Jersey Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg came to Leonia for a Q & A session on October 17, 2017, a request from Leonia Action Alliance member Christie Evens urged Senator Weinberg to consider sponsoring a bill currently in the NJ State Assembly that would prohibit schools and colleges in New Jersey from using Styrofoam. Less than a week later, Senator Weinberg announced that she will sponsor the bill. This is the next step in Leonia Action Alliance's efforts to ban this hazardous material.
