Let's Make Leonia Styrofoam-Free

Leonia Board of Education Announces That Our Schools Are Going Styrofoam-Free!

Leonia's Anna C. Scott Elementary School will stop using Styrofoam cafeteria trays beginning Monday, October 2, 2017. The middle and high schools will switch to non-Styrofoam trays by the beginning of the 2018 school year, or perhaps earlier. This decision comes ahead of a state bill currently awaiting review that would ban Styrofoam from all New Jersey public schools and colleges.
